Do you have a microphone? If so you can call people from your desktop or laptop for FREE. Just go to www.icall.com and click download. Run it and go threw the setup. You must create; account.

Hi,
I have an Icall account.
It works good using JAWS. Also sounds fairly good using my microphone talking to someone.

Mics are really cheap, at least in the U.S. You could get one for $20 at any computer store and maybe even Radio Shack. Probably stores like Wallmart or KMart hhave them too. Btw, does this work on Macs? I love the mic in that machine.

Hmmm, this service seems pretty cool! How does it differ from skype or that irritating palltalk?

Well, I've tried i call, and I have found that there are 2 services that you can register for, I call basic and I call pro. With I call basic, you can talk to anyone in the u.s. and canada. You can talk up to 5 minutes per call. For people to call you, there is an i call number they have to dial, and then dial someone's extention. For I call pro, you pay $4.00 a month. You get unlimited calling and your own number.
